Clown&Clown Festival

For fifteen years, during the first week of October in Monte San Giusto—the City of Smiles—we have organized the Clown&Clown Festival, an international festival of clowning and clown therapy conceived by the Mabò Band in 2005. The Clown&Clown Festival is an original, innovative, and unique festival that, through the figure of the clown, aims to promote contemporary circus art in all its possible facets and avant-garde approaches. Since 2005, we have been developing a growing momentum of artistic projects, prestigious national and international guests, audience participation, and critical acclaim. But that's not all! By leveraging and simultaneously promoting the figure of the CLOWN, we aim to communicate in an increasingly accessible way to an ever-wider audience, giving our artistic and cultural message an immeasurable social and humanitarian impact. Driven by the enthusiasm of sharing the dream of another possible world and by an unwavering belief in achieving it, we aim to convey the universal value of smiling and a message of positivity towards Life. Furthermore, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, both local and otherwise, every year we transform Monte San Giusto into the City of Smiles, decorating it with all the colors of the rainbow, with countless wonderful sets and decorations, but above all with the enormous red nose that dominates the church bell tower, the symbol of the Festival.
