DESCRIPTION
The Boscetto in the Campiglia Bassa district is a green space of approximately 10,000 square meters, nestled in the Macerata countryside at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains. Originally part of the hunting lodge of Bishop Nicolò Bonafede, who built his recreational residence nearby, it still retains traces of its original Renaissance layout and the subsequent Italianate park. Paths, paved paths, and the evocative "Cerchio Grande" evoke atmospheres steeped in history and symbolism, places for carriages, horses, and coachmen to rest and rest. Over time, the grove has become a community gathering place: famous on May Day, when entire generations would gather there to sing, dance, and celebrate. Today, thanks to the care of the Cesaretti family, the park is open to anyone wishing to spend relaxing hours in touch with nature. Oaks, holm oaks, cypresses, pines, olive trees, fruit trees, and many other trees grow there, creating a regenerating environment, inhabited by small wild and domestic animals. Il Boscetto is therefore a place that combines historical memory, spirituality, and nature, offering those who enter a sense of peace and belonging to a community that has protected it for centuries.
