DESCRIPTION

The exhibition is organized by the Amici del Presepe Association with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Monte San Giusto and is housed in the Palazzo Bonafede Museum. The artistic masterpieces scattered throughout the region's various museums and churches are a hallmark of the Marche region, as is the artistic and historical craftsmanship that, in Monte San Giusto, finds one of its finest expressions in the permanent exhibition of nativity scenes and dioramas curated by Andrea Pistolesi. The exhibition stands out for the variety and originality of the works: from miniature nativity scenes encased in everyday objects to large-scale, fully mechanized displays. The exhibition leads visitors through scenes of everyday life, large animated dioramas, and refined religious representations, offering a glimpse into the tradition and evolution of nativity art in the Marche region. As Pistolesi himself states, "the nativity scene is the light that points the way in the darkness of history, a universal message of peace, brotherhood, and hope that continues to fascinate every generation.".
